Barron County Democrats
launch new field organization
In response to Democratic National
Committee's call for greater grassroots participation, the Barron
County Democrats have voted to form a new grassroots field organization.
The new field organization's objective is to locate potential
Democratic voters, organize them, and summon the resources to
promote Democratic candidates and causes in Barron County.
The new field organization will
place a "local captain" in each of the 29 supervisory
districts of Barron County, who will serve as a liaison between
the county and residents of the supervisory district. Among
other things, the local captain will coordinate voter registration
drives and seek potential Democratic voters, as well as recruit
candidates for all manner of offices, and assist them in their
races. Other potential projects might be to provide a forum
for a candidate or issue, or promote letter-writing campaigns
to local papers on issues of interest.
For more information on the new
field organization, one can write to Jerry Schlei,
Communications Committee chair.

districts are shown shaded in various colors.
