Richie survives recount by 47 votes

BARRON September 20, 2006—In a recount held Wednesday, before the Barron COunty Canvassing Board, Sheriff candidate John Postle, Sr., recovered 12 more votes cast for him in the September 12th primary election, but it was not enough to unseat his opponent, Barron County Sheriff Thomas Richie, who still holds a 47-vote lead over Postle.

Richie will go on to face Republican Richard Carr in the general election, according to WQOW news.
