Intelligent Design

This is just another attempt to teach the Bible in our public schools. In our small town and surrounding area we have one hundred and eight churches to twenty-six schools. You will find this obvious imbalance true in any town or city in America. Look in your phone book under churches and schools.

The real plan of intelligent designers is to bring religion into government. They want a religious theocracy. (We just fought, are still fighting, a war in Afghanistan to get rid of one) History has proven it's always a adisaster when that happens. By teching only the Bible and nothing else, Europe sank into the terrible dark ages for fifteen hundred years. Even the young priests were so stupid they had to be sent out of the country to be educated.

When you need an operation, you don't go to your church--you go to the doctor, who has been trained in science. When a virus mutates (evolution), you don't ask you priest to find a new vaccine. When you want and need more doctors, nurses, scientists and engineers, you don't waste their school time teaching them about a mythical Intelligent Design, which could or could not be true. If it is true, then science will find it . . . The students get what they need in that area from the churches of their choice, which far outnumber the available teaching institutes. Taking away the time needed to complete science courses and catch up with other countries is ridiculous when we need them so badly.

You will find each separate religion fighting to control this course with the parts of the Bible that they have chosen to believe in. It is more likely to destroy religions than Darwin.
