Tommy
Thompson
One of
my best friends told me this story about former Governor of
Wisconsin, Tommy Thompson. Her husband, a member of the State
Municipal Workers' Union, retired in 1989. He received a smaller
check thatn he was supposed to get because Tommy Thompson had
raided the State Municipal Pension funds and used the money
to bail out Chrysler. The union kept trying to get him to relpace
the money, but he refused. The union finally had to get a lawyer
and take him to court. A female judge named Abarhamson presided
over the case and the union won. A few months later my friend's
husband received a big check and his proper pension after that.
She belives that was in 1991.
Former
Governor Tommy Thompson left Wisconsin billions of dollars in
debt. He now wants to run for president. Just what we need—another
big spender with tendencies to raid public programs in the White
House.
