The meeting was called to order byChairman Jim Heerey. 15 members were present.

Secretary’s report was read, Cecil Kippenhan moved to approve the report and Jim Vogel 2nd’Ed.

Treasurer report was read and approved with Ralph Fitzrick moving to approve and Cecil Kippenhan 2nding.

There was a call from the chairman for old business followed by discussion of the convention. Visits by Senator Feingold and Governor Doyle were brought up it was stated that Senator Feingold had cancelled his visit. Governor Doyle’s visit was very interesting and informative. Our own Jason Rae presented a question to the governor concerning cuts in funding for education. He was interviewed by local media after the presentation.

The state of Wisconsin received our newly amended constitution.

Our new web site has received 150 visits so far with few repeats.

Jim Vogel moved that we order raffle tickets for fair time, it was 2nd’Ed by Harold Kringle,

Communications from the state were read by our chairman and discussed.

Betty Vogel moved we send 1$ per member to the 7th district as per request. It was seconded by Sandra Packenham.

Chairman Heerey asked for suggestions from the group on speakers of interest to the community. It will be discussed at a later date.

Clarice read a thank you note from Jim Babler, for a plant sent to his office, to congratulate him on his recent appointment, She also stated that Dave Obey has requested that he receive notification of our meetings, she will give secretary the address. Clarice will also check with local food shelves to assess their needs.

Clarice reported on progress on the new Justice Hall, we were shown diagrams and were told which contractors were to be used.

Ralph Fitzrick moved for an adjournment, and there was a 2nd by Marlene Raether.
