7:00 The meeting was brought to order by Chairman Cecil Kippenhan, with 22 people attending.

Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved.

Old Business:

Jason Rae gave a report on a meeting he attended in December with Congressman Dave Obey’s committee.
A list of registered voters is being updated and should be ready by April 2005.

Chairman Kippenhan stated that the 7th Congressional District meeting for 2005 will be held in Ashland or Bayfield
but the 2006 CD meeting can be held in Barron County about the end of April.
If anyone has resolutions they would like to bring up, they should be submitted by the end on March that year.

Chairman Kippenhan read a thank you card from the Cameron Food Pantry, where our donations last month were very much appreciated. He also read a thank you from the 7th CD.

The Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner was discussed. The date for that may be on the opening fishing weekend, but has not been set yet.

County Clerk Clarice Fall reported that the new county officials were sworn in at the Justice Center by Judge James Babler on
December, 7th, 2004. They are: Dee Ann Cook, County Clerk; Judy Espeseth, Clerk of Court; Yvonne Ritchie , Treasurer; Shawn Hanson, Register of Deeds and Angela Holmstrom, District Attorney.

New Business:

Food pantry donations will be taken to Cumberland this month.

New Democratic Officers were elected. They are: Chairman, Cecil Kippenhan; Vice Chairman, Jason Rae;
2nd Vice Chairman, Brian Pinkerton; Treasurer, Clarice Fall; and Secretary, Judy Holloway.

Thank you cards will be sent to the outgoing treasurer and secretary, Betty Vogel and Sandra Packenham.
We thank them for their time and the outstanding job they did.

Memberships are due. Payments can now be sent to Clarice Fall, 726 E. Birch Ave, Barron, WI 54812.

January meeting will be held January 20th, 2005 at the Rice Lake Library in the big room downstairs.

Jason Rae reported on the Democratic National Convention and will list the candidates for the National Party Chairman on our web site.

We discussed getting new members and invite everyone to join. Some of those present discussed Young Democrats.

Mike Moe gave the party a refund check in the amount of $67.00 and Bill Smith proposed that the party donate $33.00
To make it an even $100.00 and donate that amount to the Family Readiness Group that meet at the Rice Lake Armory.
Motion passed.

At 8:00 the meeting was adjourned and we had a very nice Christmas Party.
