Barron County Courthouse
The
meeting was called to order
by Chairman Cecil Kippenhan.
We had 14 members
in attendance, which included three new members: Jason, Judy,
and Willie.
Treasurer’s
Report was read and approved, with a balance of $286.43. Betty
sent in the Election Board Report.
Secretary’s
minutes were read and approved.
A thank-you note
was read from the Cameron Food Pantry for our December donations.
The 1st tier caucus
is scheduled for Sunday, April 4th at the Courthouse. This is
the first step for selecting delegates to go to the Democratic
National Convention in Boston on July 26-29th.
Brian reminded us
of the upcoming Presidential Primary on Tuesday, February 17th,
and to try to get people out to vote.
Clarice just received
the sample printout of the Presidential Primary ballot, only
a one-page ballot.
Clarice reminded
us of the Justice Center’s walk-through open house scheduled
for Saturday, March 27th. The formal dedication will be May
1st.
Cecil reported that
the State will honor anyone who signs up five (5) NEW members.
You can then become a “Super Democrat.”
Meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be February 19th, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the
Barron County Courthouse, Room 102.
Respectfully submitted,
Marlene Raether, Acting Secretary |
