7:05: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kippenhan.

Secretary’s report read by Chairman Kippenhan and approved as read.

Treasurer’s report was given, motion to approve as read, so ordered.

Clarice Fall read a “Thank You” note from Jason Rae for our gift of $50.00 for his high school graduation.

Judy Holloway wishes to resign as Secretary. Motion to have Beth Ager take over the Secretary position was made. All present approved. Motion Passed.

Chairman Kippenhan reports that Mary Hubler wants to be on the fundraising committee.
He also stated that Senator Feingold may be coming for a fundraiser in September or October, if so, a dinner may be held – the location has not been decided.

Sheriff Ritchie gave a report on some activities at the Sheriff’s Dept.

Those who attended the State Convention June 10 and 11 in Oshkosh reported. It was a great learning experience, but our proposed health care resolution did not pass.

Those present reported on activities they have been doing to get more people noticed and involved in democratic party activities. Jerry Schlei showed a film Rep. Jan Schakowsky recently gave and was on C-SPAN. (www.ourfuture.org)

The Barron County Fair booth was discussed. A motion was made to authorize $500.00 to be used for handouts at the fair. Motion was seconded and passed. The Communications Committee will meet soon to decide what to get.

The Sunshine Report was given.

Chairman Kippenhan read a “Thank You” note from the Chetek Food Pantry for our donation last month. This month the donation will be taken to Cameron.

Beth Ager discussed the website links and said to keep your eye on the website for changes.

8:50 Meeting Adjourned. The next meeting will be July 14, 2005 at 7:00 in the Friendship Room at the Rice Lake Library.
