Thursday, November 18, 2004
Barron County Courthouse

7:10 Cecil Kippenhan suggested that I, Judy Holloway, would take the minutes at the meeting tonight because Sandy Packenham could not be here for the December meeting. It was agreeable to everyone present.

Sandy gave the Secretary’s report for the October meeting.
October’s Treasurer’s report was given by Betty Vogel.

Mary Hubler gave a report on the presidential and county elections from October.

A report on the County Clerk’s election was given by Clarice Fall, and how the outcome of the recount
changed from Pam Fall to Dee Ann Cook for the office of County Clerk.

Old Business: Political signs must be taken down. Anyone having yard signs can take them to the NUE building.
There was no Sunshine Report. Pam Fall spoke about the election results and is thankful to everyone for their support.

There was a discussion from those present about the election results and how we all look forward to electing
Democrats in the future, and having Russ Feingold come for a longer visit. A suggestion was made
to have a dinner once a year and work towards getting new members.

Jim Heery read a proposed resolution to have those in the Democratic Party publicly support only other Democrats.
Members present commented on the resolution. A vote was taken on whether or not to adopt the resolution and
NO’s won, so the referendum did not pass.

Jeff Burkrandt gave a report from Congressman Dave Obey’s office.

A motion was made to put a “Thank You” in the newspaper for all those who worked on the November elections - motion passed.

New Business: Candidates for new Barron County officers will be taken at the December meeting.

Food pantry donations for November will be taken to Cameron this time.

The next meeting will be December 9, 2004 at the courthouse in Barron, in Room 110. If everyone would bring something to eat we could have a Christmas Party, too.

Jim Vogel made a motion to split any left over money we have between the 3 candidates, Pam Fall, Mary Hubler, and Joan Frandrup.
That was tabled till the next meeting because we are unsure how much there will be after all the bills are paid.

Union Dues are due.

A Committee was formed to organize a dinner. They are: Clarice Fall, Tom Ritchie, Toby Paone, Peggy Vogt, and Bill Smith.

At 8:50 the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Judy Holloway, Acting Secretary
