The meeting was called to order
by Chairman Jim Heery with 12 members in attendance.
Treasurer’s report was read with a balance
of 260.00 .At present we have 57 members. Report was approved
as read.
Cecil Kippenhan 2nded read Secretary’s
report by Marlene Raether.
Old
Business
Cecil reminded us of the meeting at Thorpe
at the Legion hall.
Feingold will be in Eau Claire for a fundraiser.
A request was brought forth to include our
E-mail address on our meeting invitation There was further discussion
on the web site which was noted, and will be carried out as
soon as we can find or appoint a web master.
New
business
Cecil Kippenhan delegate at large for our district
reported no new information.
April 4th caucuses for our area were discussed
would be before 1st tier caucuses on May 2.
Those who were present at previous caucuses
state attendance has gone as high as 200. we need 3-4 rooms
to use as break away rooms. A committee is needed to discuss
needed arrangements. Possibly food.
Arrangement committee will at present consist
of Cecil as chair, Jim, Clarice Maybe more later.
Chairman Heerey again suggested letters to
the editor from this group , It was decided to make note of
this and refer to it again later. Some further information on
the Patriot act was brought forth and discussed.
The treasurer of the 7th district has contacted
our group to inform us that we have 20 new members we have not
paid them for. There was a vote cast on this matter and it was
agreed to send the necessary amount.
A thank you note was read from the Cameron
food shelf. It was agreed that Kip and Marlene would deliver
this months collection.
There was a motion for adjournment.
A letter from Jason Rae was read by our chairman
before the meeting, New member Treva Solum was present.
