The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim Heerey with 17 in attendance.

Minutes were read by Secretary Sandra Packenham , Cecil Kippenhan moved to accept the minutes as read 2nd was by Marlene Raether.

Treasurer’s report was read by acting treasurer Jim Vogel and approved.

Balance is $300.56.

Old business

120 attended area party for Dave Obey. Some of our members were in attendance and reported it to have been very well done.

Cecil Kippenhan attended the 7th C.D. meeting in Medford. He reminded us of the Clark Co. fundraiser in Thorpe. On October 25th with good food and lots of prizes.

Mary Hubler ,Tom Richie, and Angie Holmstrom were present to discuss the Patriot Act, at the invitation of our chairman.

Mary Hubler gave us an interesting glance at developments in Madison.

A card was passed to be sent to Clarice Fall in sympathy for the death of her brother.

New members with us were Rodney and Carol Dowell.

Our October meeting will be in Barron on the 16th at 7:00.
